Student Life Center Named in Waybright's Honor

At a recent Board of Regents meeting, the Trinity International University Board passed this resolution: "...Therefore, be it resolved, Dr. Gregory L. Waybright be recognized for his extraordinary leadership and service through the naming at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, of: The Gregory L. Waybright Student Life Center, A Tribute from his Dearest Friends."

Dr. Waybright (MDiv '80) served as president of Trinity International University from 1995 to 2007. Under his tenure, the university experienced extraordinary growth. He was instrumental in the development of the student life center and an enthusiastic promoter of community at Trinity. Dr. Waybright has shown exemplary leadership in the Evangelical Free Church community, serving as a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature, a Board member and former Chair of Evangelical Free Church Mission (EFCM), and a representative of EFCM to the Evangelical Free Church of America Board of Directors. Dr. Waybright left Trinity in 2007 to serve as the senior pastor at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California.
