<< BackAccreditation Site Visits Successful
Trinity is pleased to announce the successful completion of site visits
from two accrediting agencies - The Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
and The Association of Theological Schools (ATS). Both agencies have announced they
will be recommending a ten-year reaccreditation for Trinity--the most
desired result. Special thanks to
those alumni who gave of their time to participate in alumni focus
groups with the visiting site teams.
This first site visit included Trinity's Deerfield campus and South Chicago Regional
Center. Over the next few weeks, the examiners will visit the Florida and
California Regional Centers and the TEDS extension sites. Once all the visits are completed, both the HLC and the ATS teams will complete a report that will be sent to their respective accreditation governing bodies for final approval. This final step in the process can take months to complete, and the official results are expected to be announced sometime over the summer. This is all a part of the normal process following the on-site visit. Once official notification has been received, the result will be posted on the University website.
Site visits are part of the standard operating procedure for maintaining university accreditation. For more information about Trinity's accrediting bodies visit http://www.tiu.edu/tiu/accreditation.
