Trinity Alum and Former Professor Passes Away
Dr. Norman Ericson, alum and former Trinity professor, passed away on December 22, 2011 at the age of 79.

Henry Center Receives A Gift of $500,000
The Carl F. H. Henry Center for Theological Understanding received a generous gift of $500,000 to help fund the work of the center.
New Fully Endowed Chairs Announced
President Williford recently announced the creation of two new fully funded chairs, made possible by a large gift from anonymous donors to the university: The William Washington Endowed Chair of Student Leadership and The Wesley Anderson Endowed Chair of Business.
Master of Arts in Leadership Announced
This week the TIU faculty approved the addition of a new program, the Master of Arts in Leadership, which is designed to help equip students with the skills necessary to be leaders in their field.

Trinity Board Member Publishes New Book
Trinity board member Tom Nelson (DMin '98) has published a new book called "Work Matters: Connecting Sunday Worship to Monday Work." Nelson connects Sunday worship to Monday morning by engaging the theological basis of God’s plan for everyday work and giving readers practical tools for understanding their own gifts.

The 2012 Gathering of the Young Pastors Network will be taking place in Chicago on July 10-12.
Wallis vs. Mohler Debate
In October Jim Wallis and Dr. Albert Mohler took place in a debate held on Trinity's campus on the topic "Is Social Justice an Essential Part of the Mission of the Church?" The debate has been posted online and is available for free in both audio and video format.

Emerging Student Leadership Conference
Trinity is committed to the development of young Christian leaders. This spring, TIU's Emerging Student Leaders will be hosting a conference for high school students who are aspiring leaders. Trinity College Alumnus of the Year Announced
Phil Eaton (BA '71) has been named the 2011 Trinity College Alumnus of the Year. Phil earned a BA in Sociology from Trinity College and currently serves as as chairman and CEO of Rosencrance Health Network.

Tim Addington Named TEDS Alumnus of the Year
Tim Addington (MDiv '83) has been named the TEDS 2011 Alumnus of the Year. Tim serves as a senior vice president for the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and leader for ReachGlobal, the international mission of the EFCA.
